Ka'Ingo private game reserve and Mokolo game reserve are taking down shared fences forming the new Greater Mokolo Nature Reserve during July. The 16 000 hectare private big five reserve will form a hub for eco tourism and conservation.
After a long period of behind the scene negotiations and establishing of an amicable arrangement Nick Callichy (Ka'Ingo GM) and Heidi Behr (Mokolo game reserve owner) are now ready to share their vision of a nature reserve founded on rolling back the impact of human intervention. Heidi, an extraordinary German lady and founder of Mokolo, has been living in the Bushveld managing her reserve for 15 years; she has adopted orphaned elephants from the Kruger Park, established the first white rhino in the area and her conservation ethics are testimony of her passion for Africa. Nick has established the big five at Ka'Ingo and has introduced and established a number of credible and sustainable conservation projects over the past six years. Cheetah, leopard, sable and clean buffalo projects are running whilst the heritage conservation of rock art is actively being managed. Two strong but different characters with the same objectives...
A new nature reserve so secluded that the that there will be only one game viewer vehicle per 2 500 hectares! To be part of this momentous project will be an awesome happening to behold. Various elements of the Ka'Ingo conservation projects will be highlighted over the weekend of the 4th April, visitors will be educated on and have the opportunity to interact with some of these projects.
Shareholders of the unique Zorgvliet Private Residence Club at Ka'Ingo Dinkweng safari camp are privileged to their own piece of Bushveld haven and association with the Greater Mokolo Nature Reserve. Share options structured for the international markets will now become available to South Africans, these will be introduced on the 4th April to the media as well.
