How long has your company been operating in the vacation ownership market?

[PF] MagicBreakaways has since its formation in 1984 established itself as a market leader in high quality resort property development.

MagicBreakaways Leisure Developments and its subsidiary MagicBreakaways Property Developments is the resort development arm of the Legacy Group of companies, a large African corporation in the hotel and hospitality industry.

MagicBreakaways and its management team have been responsible for the development, marketing of some of Southern Africa’s mixed-use resorts including Kwa Maritane, Bakubung, La Cote d’Azur, Kruger Park Lodge, Castleburn and Wilderness Dunes. Elephant Point an exclusive estate in Mpumalanga is the latest property development to be developed by the group.

The Legacy Private Residencies – what resorts does membership include?

[PF] Each of the resorts has been developed by MagicBreakaways Leisure Developments and is managed by Legacy Hotels and Resorts, all rated by RCI as Gold Crown Resorts.

• Kruger Park Lodge – situated on a 9-hole Gary Player designed golf course on the banks of the Sabie River in Hazyview, Mpumalanga. Investors may purchase whole-ownership homes on a Shareblock or Sectional Title basis. Syndication, Timeshare and Fractional on a Shareblock basis.

• Castleburn - situated in the southern Drakensberg. Spacious, thatched, architect-designed cottages, built of hand-hewn local stone built around Lake Madingofani. Offers investors wholeownership, syndication, timeshare options and fractional ownership options on a Shareblock basis.

• Elements Private Golf Reserve - situated in the beautiful Bushveld region of the Limpopo Province - a golf estate in the Waterberg region. To consist of 308 homes, in this "low density" luxury residential estate. A 18-hole Peter Matkovich designed US PGA Championship Golf Course, wildlife reserve, corporate lodges and up-market rental pool units, all a great investment opportunity.

• Wilderness Dunes - situated on the famous Garden Route in the Western Cape comprising comfortable chalets which are exquisitely furnished and designed for trouble-free self-catering holidays with the George airport only 15 minutes away.
